Light Weight (L.W.) Cross Tension Screens
The ElastoScreen Light Weight Cross Tensioned Screens (LWXT) have been designed to replace conventional woven wire in light duty, high or medium frequency, low amplitude screening machines used for de-watering, fine classification, carbon recover and trash screening.
The weight of the LWXT screen panel is 8.5 to 9.5kg/sq metre (depending on panel size and profile) with an overall thickness of 10mm. This is compared to a standard ElastoScreen Cross Tensioned Screen with a 20mm thickness and weight of 20 to 25kg/sq metre.
The ElastoScreen LWXT Screens are strongly reinforced with high tensile steel wire. The wires are post production press formed with stainless steel shrouds into hooked edge arrangements. Post production forming assures each wire takes equal tension. Screens are designed to accurately butt and seal together when installed.

Particular care is taken when designing the screen cloth to maximize open area. Slotted apertures 0.6,0.8 and 1.0mm are currently available.

When using ElastoScreen tensioned screens it is recommended the ElastoScreen Polyurethane Stringer (bucker) bar cover should always be used. The ElastoScreen stringer bar cover eliminates the risk of screen whipping or flapping that softer rubber type covers may allow.

Steel reinforced Polyurethane side tension bars and centre hold downs are also custom built to suit the existing machine and hole locations.

ElastoScreen Systems are custom built to suit the individual requirements of each customers machine specification. It is therefore necessary to obtain machine side and subframe details. In this way the system will fit and operate efficiently without any modifications to the original equipment.
